Leave your worries on the other side and come curl up in our family home, lovingly cared for since 1932, with the beach at your feet and an exceptional 180° sea view. From its large terrace, contemplate the sea, the islands and the ballet of sailing boats.
In the garden, bask among rose bushes and hydrangeas, fruit trees and centuries-old olive trees, under the protection of giant pine trees.

Open the gate and you are on the island’s largest beach, the only one where you can swim at low tide. Facing south and framed by two pine woods, it offers a sailing school and a reassuring swimming area.
Each of the 6 bedrooms has its own bathroom, and the fully-equipped kitchen under the veranda overlooks the garden. Our library with its collection of comic books is open to you. The sofas, footstools and deckchairs are ready to welcome you. The ping-pong table, croquet and table football will keep you entertained throughout the day.

Sea, beaches and sailing boats
The house is located in the middle of the “Grande Plage”. Well, “Grande” is obviously a joke to some as it may feel intimate. But it is the largest on the island, and the only one where you can swim at low tide without mud or rocks. With no waves, a gentle slope and protected from currents, it is an ideal playground for children and adults alike, a wonderful setting for breakfasts or aperitifs with your feet in the sand.

During the day, either from your towel or from the terrace, it is the best place to admire the incessant ballet of sailing boats in the bay or your children’s nautical progress: two sailing clubs offer courses right outside the house or catamarans, paddles and windsurf boards for hire. Sea kayaks and zodiacs are also available for hire.
On our side, we can provide you with all the fishing equipment you need to go shrimping, a beach toys collection with everything you need for sandcastle competitions, as well as a small rowing boat so that children can play and row in front of the beach, and fishing parents can set up their nets or traps.

L’Île-aux-Moines is easy to get to and has all the services you could wish for. It is the island you dreamt of as a child: hidden paths, secret beaches, mysterious megalithes and fishermen hamlets, sailing and pétanque, aperitifs and bicycles, hydrangeas and oysters.
Far, so far from roundabouts and urban stress. No wonder it has been voted the pearl of the Gulf of Morbihan, itself listed by UNESCO as one of the most beautiful bays in the world.
It is here that inexhaustible charms are revealed every day through any stroll, any sunrise or sunset, any swimming or sailing.
And here it is. 5 minutes by boat.

Our family home
To discover the story of Ty Marie from 1932 to 2023, slide from left to right.
How can we be objective? We love our house, a quintessential family home, built by Marie, our great-grandmother, as one of the first on the beach, and lovingly cared for by each generation ever since. Every day we thank Marie to have offered the family the chance to enjoy the light and the horizon, and to gather with feet in the water under the protection of the giant, century-old, pine trees.
Built in 1932, we have completely renovated it, from roof to foundations, and, while scrupulously preserving its soul and charm, we have given it an extensive facelift: one bathroom per bedroom, a large kitchen under in a spacious veranda wide opened on the garden, and all the attributes of modern comfort.
And above all, a terrace, an extraordinary promontory facing the sea and the light.
How to get there ?
Crossing the channel
Île-aux-Moines is just a stone’s throw from the mainland:
the crossing from Port-Blanc takes less than 5 minutes, with very regular services (every 30 minutes in winter, every 15 minutes in summer), from 7am to 7.30pm in winter and from 7am to 10pm in summer.

From Paris and Montparnasse station, it is only 2.30 hours by TGV to Vannes station.
Numerous taxis will take you to the Port Blanc pier in 15 minutes.

By plane
Lorient Bretagne Sud airport is 45 minutes from Port Blanc, while Nantes and Rennes airports are a hundred kilometers away, around an hour from the pier.
By car
The pier is 12km from the Paris-Nantes expressway.
Two car parks are available: a covered, closed garage and a protected parking space at the back of a residence, right next to the pier.
